Who submits my PMI-SAC PDU claims to PMI International?
You do. PMI-SAC obtains approval from PMI International for events the Chapter coordinates that fall under Category 3. Members are responsible for keeping a record of the events they attend and submitting their own PDU claims with PMI International.
What "evidence" do I need to keep to prove I attended an event and how long do I have to keep these records?
You need to keep a record of the events you attend during any given certification cycle in case PMI International audits your PDU claims. Many members choose to track their PDUs using a spreadsheet, but everyone must keep either electronic or paper records including a description of each event and the receipt provided to you by PMI-SAC.PMI-SAC provides receipts for all events they facilitate, including Brown Bag events.
How many PDUs can I claim for a Lunch and Learn or a Dinner Meeting?
PDUs are measured in terms of time spent in a structured learning activity and can be recorded in increments as low as .25 of an hour. You can safely assume all PMI SAC Lunch & Learn and Dinner Meetings each earn 1 PDU. If the event is long enough to warrant additional PDU credit, PMI-SAC will let you know before and during the event.

When should I report my Professional Development activities?
PMI International suggests you record your PDU activities as soon as possible after they occur. This way, you are less likely to miss claiming an event and, should PMI International decline a claim, you will still have time to replace it with something else before your certification cycle ends.
