Today we will take you in our journey from a big idea to the delivery of a 90 day prototype. Highlights include, trying to socialize agile, realizing some waterfall aspects are still useful, a story of failure and how it became a success. We will discuss how the roles within a product team need to be fluid and it is no longer the case where one person wears one hat. We will discuss our technology journey leveraging modern cloud architectures and the approach to leveraging emerging tech in an old industry.
Waterfall Methodology – backwards
Most projects that I have been associated with have often kicked-off with an excited flurry of activity as everyone on the team is clear on how to start. However, finishing and delivering the project doesn’t seem to go as smoothly. In my discussion, I will be looking at the development of a waterfall methodology by planning a project from the finished product backwards and looking at benefits for communications, control and reducing MoC.
This is a free event but you will be asked for a $10 refundable deposit during the registration to confirm your attendance and help us with food and beverages planning. If you attend the event, your $10 will be refunded however, if you do NOT show up, your $10 will be forfeit. 3 business days cancellation notice is required to get full refund.
