Description

Did you obtain your Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification prior to the exam changes of 1/1/21?

Did you study under a PMBOK Guide prior to version 7.0?

Do you want to know what changes have been made to these stalwarts and how it impacts your profession?

If you want to get a good understanding of the changes happening in the profession and how to use them NOW. Then this workshop is for you!

Additional information:

There have been many changes to the PMP Exam and the PMI Standard over the past several years that have direct and indirect impact to the Project Management Profession. Some of the changes are evolutionary, some are blunt, all are critical to becoming a project manager of the future and need to help yourself and the team grow. Some items that will be discussed:

  • The new PMBOK guide and the concept of Value Driven Delivery and Guiding Principles.
  • How the new mindset no longer separates “Agile and Waterfall”, instead it will utilize the “Development Approach & Life Cycle” to help guide the appropriate solution to meet the project goal.
  • Dive into the 8 Performance Domains and how they interact with each other throughout the project life.
  • Explore the new Exam Content Outline and understand how it addresses the People, Process, and Business Acumen Domains.
  • Use Standards+ to locate content.
  • Prepare your PMO to embrace these changes and become an organization measured through Value Driven Delivery.

This workshop provides an opportunity for you to understand “what’s new” and apply the concepts in a learning environment. It is designed for existing PMP credential holders and how the changes impact the profession. It helps the existing PMP holder to learn the new standards, exam content outline, and the evolution of project management as a critical component for delivering change in an organization.

This workshop helps the professional that currently holds the PMP credential to embrace the changes to the exam and the PMBOK Guide. The workshop is open to all whether you have your PMP or not, as it provides a portal from the way things were to the way of the future.

This workshop has been developed and will be delivered by a certified PMP, PgMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, DASSM, Mico Credential Hybrid Agile, and a PMI Authorized Training Partner.

It connects the dots between the past, present, and the future for Project Management Professionals and is the ideal investment of time for the modern continuous learner.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assimilate the 12 Value principles of the new PMBOK Guide and how they apply to the role of a project manager. You will also participate in an exercise that help you demonstrate how these principles are a core component of your role as a project manager, a business analyst, a change manager, or a PMO leader.
Articulate the new Exam Content Outline for the PMP exam and how it organizes Domains, Enablers, Tasks, Tools, and Deliverables. You will complete an exercise creating a Product Backlog to mentor a new professional to prepare for the PMP Exam.
Master the eight (8) Performance Domains and how they interact with each other throughout the lifecycle of the project. You will complete an exercise that tracks a business need throughout the project.
