On February 28, 2019 at noon, PMI SAC continues its lunch hour event, “IT PMO Townhall”. The meeting will encourage structured, open discussion on topics relating to IT PMOs. The meeting is open to anyone and is intended to encourage idea exchange and professional networking.

Topic: Beyond scope, cost and schedule: Understanding the impact of stakeholder values on your project’s success
As our projects progress and we develop our stakeholders’ common understanding of project priorities, we often encounter misalignment that goes beneath the scope surface. Dawn and Hugh will give you tools and language to identify the source of stakeholder misalignment either misunderstood or dismissed as a key project success contributor – stakeholder values. Facilitated by Laurel Sim of Taleo, this one-hour session will enhance your ability to see patterns of behavior and belief to help you categorize your respective stakeholder’s values and develop strategies for building collaborative, aligned project teams.
Dawn Fiander-McCann, BA, MA
Dawn has spent 20+ years in IT with the last 15 spent in engineering design systems, asset information lifecycle, strategy development/HR and recently pipe supply distribution. She also brings experience in organizational psychodynamics, change and a passion for people and process efficiency. She has led a global services team and numerous projects with a diverse of stakeholders. She works to improve alignment and organizational effectiveness in complex environments.
Dawn is an executive-level leader with expertise in strategic product alignment and business case development, team development, facilitation, organizational change, program design and project management. Formerly a Vice President of a worldwide services group for a Canadian software company, she is frequently called on as a strategic business advisor and an executive coach to senior business leaders in business or individual transition.
Hugh Evans is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Cultural Dynamics Canada, a values and culture research consultancy that applies personal values insight to enable the development of cohesive and high performing cultures. He works with growth orientated business leaders to develop strategic leadership capability in their respective organizations.
Born in East Africa, brought up in South America and then the UK, Hugh has accumulated a huge diversity of work experience from global businesses (IBM, Xerox, CSC) to post-secondary education (Henley Business School, University of Calgary) across Europe, Middle East, North America and Asia. Prior to Cultural Dynamics, he has held senior positions in which he has led teams and operations that have delivered executive development and learning programs to a wide variety of organizations from private, government and not-for profit sectors.
