Project Management Institute – Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) members who have demonstrated exemplary service to the project management community of Southern Alberta can be nominated for recognition through the PMI-SAC Honors Program

What Is the PMI-SAC Honours Program?

The PMI-SAC Honours Program is the highest form of recognition conferred by PMI-SAC. It acknowledges significant contributions as a practitioner, educator, researcher, volunteer, and/or advocate for the project management profession in Southern Alberta.

Nominations are welcomed on behalf of any PMI-SAC member who meets the eligibility criteria. Eligible members may also apply directly to the program.

How to Nominate Someone for PMI-SAC Honours

July 17: Nominations Open
September 7: Nominations Close
September : Finalists Notified (to submit additional materials)
October: Honourees Announced
November : Award Presentation at the PMI-SAC PDC Conference

Nominee Introduction

Provide a concise introduction describing your relationship with the nominee.
Clearly disclose any business, professional, or employment-related affiliations.

Accomplishments and Impact

Detail specific accomplishments that demonstrate the nominee’s contributions to PMI-SAC and the project management profession.

Focus on tangible outcomes, long-term value, or the influence the nominee’s work has had.
Highlight how these contributions have elevated the chapter, advanced the profession, or inspired others.
Share first-hand insights or experiences that validate the nominee’s impact. (Letters do not need to cover every contribution.).

Alignment with PMI Culture Values

Describe why the nominee exemplifies the spirit of a PMI-SAC Fellow and how they live PMI’s Culture Values, such as:

Collaboration
Determination
Respect
Community

Reflect on how the nominee has influenced or inspired your own work or service to PMI-SAC. Where possible, share one or two meaningful anecdotes that illustrate their character and alignment with PMI’s values, ideally connected to the achievements described under Accomplishments and Impact.
