Marketing Specialist

Opportunity Description

The Marketing Specialist will work with the VP, Marketing and Sponsorship and the team and the PMISAC Communications team to promote PMI-SAC and the brand using various marketing tactics.
This includes supporting the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns, helping to develop creative materials for marketing campaigns, and analyzing and summarizing the effectiveness of those campaigns for the PMISAC board.
This individual may also work with PMISAC social media and third-party event planners and oversee several individual projects, among other important tasks.

Duties

• Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns
• Promote PMI SAC using various marketing tactics and social media channels
• Assist with the branding for PMU SAC and ensure a consistent brand / messaging
• perform a competitive analysis to determine what marketing tactics other not for profit and competitor organizations are using.
• attend events or seminars to represent PMISAC
• Review and recommend changes to current PMISAC marketing tactics
• Attend PMI events to support marketing and branding efforts, as needed
• Work with third-party event planners
• Oversee all individual project tasks
• Report up to VP, Marketing and Sponsorship on tasks
• Hours of effort per month range from 10-15 hours per month (some months are more or less than others).

• Candidates should have a strong background in marketing and client facing experience.
• Project management experience is a strong asset.
• The successful candidate must a have proven successful record in stakeholder engagement, working with volunteer committees, and marketing/ branding experience.
• Fluency in English written and spoken, very detail oriented, ruthless editing skills
• Excellent Customer Service and interpersonal skills.
