Volunteer On/Off-Boarding Specialist

Opportunity Description

PMISAC events are planned and implemented by dedicated volunteers. Several chapter members accept volunteer positions within the chapter annually. Therefore, the onboarding specialist is responsible for making sure each volunteer receives the information, access and training they need to be successful in their role.

Duties

Establishing communications with their assigned new volunteer
Walk through the on-boarding checklist until the on-boarding process is complete
Follow up to ensure new volunteers have access to appropriate systems working with each Portfolio VPs
Arrange volunteer orientation training
Partner with the volunteer’s new team leads to ensure a smooth transition
Ensure all the required formalities (including exit survey) are conducted when a volunteer position ends

Desired skill sets:

* Excellent people skills to provide new volunteers with a warm and friendly experience.
* Detail-oriented to chase down tasks until complete.
* Goal-oriented; each on/off-boarding assignment should be completed within 10 days.

Presentation skills and willingness to learn.

The Specialist will be able to work with up to five volunteers at any given time. Monthly orientation sessions need to be delivered virtually for all new volunteers. Currently, all services will be delivered virtually. * 7-8 hours per month (approximately)
