Ala Al-Shawwa is a professional engineer and project manager with 31 years of experience in the project management and engineering field, including all aspects of project management, planning, design lead, quality assurance, and team supervision. He has extensive experience working on government, transit facility buildings, water, wastewater, and sewage treatment projects, in addition to commercial, industrial, educational, recreation, retail, hospitality and civil projects. Ala applies his years of expert judgment, technical acumen, application heuristics, and best practices to all projects he works on, while always being conscious of value engineering, construction cost optimization, and paramount levels of safety. His work takes into account sustainability, health & safety and cost analysis considerations. He applies his logical thinking, detail orientation, and strong organizational skills along with his abilities to be creative and adapt to changing requirements to his projects to overcome project challenges. As a certified Project Management Professional, Ala utilizes the tools developed by the Project Management Institute and AECOM developed project management tools to effectively manage his group to achieve results.
