John began volunteering with PMI-SAC in June 2020 as an opportunity to get involved with the chapter and give to back to the local Project Management Community. John’s first role was Assistant VP Finance, reporting to the VP Finance (Randy George). In November 2020, Randy stepped down from his VP role and John was then appointed VP Finance and he has held this role ever since.
In 2021 John took on the additional responsibility of Board Sponsor for the 2021 Project Development Conference and worked closely with the Board and PDC Planning Committee to successfully deliver the 2021 PDC virtually to ~200 members using the Whova Event Management Platform.
John’s day job as a project manager is leading IT Projects in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors. He is presently focusing on delivering IT Cybersecurity Projects for energy companies.
