Wayne Rambow
“Wayne Rambow started his career with Nortel in 1989 fresh out of the Telecommunication Engineering Technology program at SAIT. He worked for Nortel in engineering, management and project management capacities for 17 years.
In 2006 Wayne joined the Forzani Group Ltd. where he was responsible for the delivery of the 2007 Sportchek.ca re-write as well as numerous other projects.
In 2007 Wayne founded Thunder Project Consulting Ltd. and engaged WestJet as his first client. Working in a Program Management capacity he was responsible to implement 20 infrastructure and IT projects in support of WestJet’s new 6 story office building at the Calgary International Airport.
He began working with Rocky View County in 2009 on the design and construction of 3 new fire stations and a large fleet vehicle maintenance building.
Wayne re-joined the Forzani group in 2013 and successfully managed a team of over 100 resources to migrate the production services for Mark’s and FGL to Winnipeg and Brampton. Most recently he was Program Manager for the Core Network Refresh for Canadian Tire. Spanning 18 months and involving a team of more than 250 people, this complex infrastructure program was delivered under budget and without unplanned incidents. Cited as one of the most complex and pervasive infrastructure initiatives ever taken on by the company.
Wayne joined ATB Financial in 2021 where he is a Portfolio Manager for Technology Enablement where he is responsible for the delivery of complex programs and projects in infrastructure and technology.
Wayne is active in the local project management community; He did 6 terms as a mentor, VP of Programs from 2012-2014 and was President of PMI – SAC for 2014-2015. He has been a speaker at the 2010, 2011, 2016 and 2017 PMI Professional Development Conferences and holds the honor of Fellow with the local PMI chapter.”
