As PMI Southern Alberta Chapter (PMISAC) celebrates 45 years of excellence, innovation, and community, we are taking a moment to honor the leaders who helped shape our journey.
Our 45th Anniversary Wishes series shines a spotlight on the voices of our past Board Members, individuals who dedicated their time, passion, and leadership to building a strong foundation for our chapter’s success.
In this special feature, we are proud to present Neil Sanderson, Past President of PMI-SAC (2006 to 2009), as he shares his reflections, fond memories, and heartfelt wishes for the future of PMISAC.
During his time as President, Neil played a pivotal role in the chapter’s growth and impact. The Professional Development Conference (PDC) was established, creating a premier learning and networking event for project management professionals. The Mentorship Program was launched, fostering connections between emerging and experienced project managers. Project Management Day was celebrated across Calgary and formally recognized by the Mayor, raising the visibility of the profession in the wider community. The chapter’s membership grew significantly, expanding from 700 to 1,900 members during his tenure.
In his 45th Anniversary message, Neil shares not only fond memories but also three powerful messages for current and future Board Members. His words, drawn from years of leadership and experience, continue to inspire a spirit of service, innovation, and community within PMISAC.
Stay tuned as we continue to share more wishes and stories from those who led the way. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to an even greater future.
Watch Neil Sanderson’s message and join us in celebrating 45 years of PMISAC excellence.Â
